Welcome to the first installment of my 2017 Fall Favorite’s series! In this series, I am going to be highlighting some of my favorite activities, food, and clothing options for the best season of the year. While the temperatures are not cooperating so far this year, I have still been enjoying squeezing in as much of fall as I can. Taking time to enjoy seasonal activities with family is just one of the ways that I find balance in my busy lifestyle.
I decided to kick off the series with my trip to Miller Farms. Miller Farms is a place that I actually frequent throughout the summer and fall months. It is particularly special to me because it is a place that my grandma and I go together (this trip was actually my first time without her *tear*). It’s the perfect place to go on a weekend morning to pick up some fresh produce or my favorite—their homemade ice cream!
This month marked the beginning of Fall Fun at the farm (as my family simply refers to it as). During Fall Fun, there is the option of Hay rides, corn mazes, a pumpkin patch, and a visit with farm animals. There is also a gorgeous assortment of mums, corn stalks, and produce available for purchase.
My favorite part of visiting the farm is the food of course! Not only did the farm have kettle corn for sell, but fresh squeezed lemonade as well. In addition, there is a bakery that sells an assortment of donuts (apple cider being the fave for the season), cakes, pies, breads, basically anything that you could possibly want. The smells were out of this world. However, my absolute favorite item that they offer is their homemade ice cream. The flavors vary throughout the year and I swear that I have loved every single flavor that I have tried. This trip I opted for the Apple Pie flavored ice cream and OH MY GOODNESS it was the BEST APPLE PIE ICE CREAM that I have ever had. I plan to return next weekend for the Pumpkin flavor!
Note to self, take ice cream pictures faster to prevent a mess…and more importantly loss of spectacular ice cream!
Miller Farms will always be a favorite of mine, but fall is definitely the season to go. Where is your favorite fall destination?

This looks like the type of place I need to put on my list… great post … how was the ice cream it looked pretty good to me…bonus there…and beautiful flowers everywhere.
Their ice cream flavors never disappoint! It is seasonal though, with 4 flavors that they swap out. I’ve tried everything from vanilla to rum raisin, peach to apple pie and probably a dozen other flavors in between!
