March seems like it’s going to be sooo long compared to February. I already plan on packing in as much fun as possible!
Here is how I am finding balance in March:
Visit an Art Gallery or Exhibit
This item is partially inspired by my gallery visit in New Orleans (read about it here) and partially inspired by all of the Artech House pics that I have been seeing on the gram. Looking at art, especially art that you can interact with, is always so fun! I’m hoping to visit at least one art gallery or exhibit this month. At the top of my list is a trip to the National Portrait Gallery to see the official Obama portraits.
Quality Grandmother Time
I haven’t had quality time with my grandmothers in a very long time. This month, I want to set some time aside to do something special with each of them.
Attend a Network Event
One of my personal goals this year is to be more active within my networks. I currently consider my networks to include my blogging network, my school’s alumni network, and my professional networks within the industrial-organizational psychology. I’m looking forward to being more involved and meeting new people.
Bathroom Makeover
Lately, my bathroom has been making me feel pretty blah. I finally decided that it was the right time for a little makeover! I have a tiny apartment bathroom, so I’m not talking large scale, but I have been thinking about changing up the color scheme and maybe adding a few more personal touches (read: monograms haha).
Go to the Movies
This bucket list item is just because, why not? I have had a Movie Pass for about 5 months now and I have only used it to see 6 movies. While I feel like I get my money’s worth even if I see just one movie a month, why not push the envelope a little? Bonus: there are a lot of great movies already in theaters and scheduled to be released this month. Though I don’t plan on going to all of them alone, going to the movies by myself a couple of times this month would put some quality “me-time” on the schedule.
Read One Book
Another semester is coming to an end! That means that I am going to try to squeeze at least one book in during my small break between semesters. I have no idea what that book is going to be, so if you have any recommendations, please let me know!
Spring Cleaning
Spring is on the horizon! The first official day of spring is Tuesday, March 20th (though I’m not sure if the weather is going to agree). A great excuse to do a deeper clean! I also want to use it as an opportunity to declutter and clean up my life.
One Whole30 Meal a Week
Ah yes, if you read my February Wrap Up post, then you know how this went last month. I decided to make it a repeat item on the bucket list. The goal is to keep aspects of the Whole 30 as part of my lifestyle, not just a cleanse that I tried that one time.
Looks like March will have a larger social emphasis than usual, but I am looking forward to a fulfilled month! How do you plan on finding balance this month?
