August really seemed to fly by and was filled with so many great moments. Many of my weekends were jammed packed with things to do and spending time with friends. One special moment was getting to travel down to North Carolina to see my bestie get her Master’s degree! I’m so very proud of her and enjoyed celebrating the moment with friends.
This month I also announced that I am the new brand ambassador for the Positivity Charge (read more about my first experience with them here)! I look forward to working with a diverse group of talented individuals who care just as much about wellness and balance as I do! (but more on that another time :P).
Here are my other reflections for the month of August:
I FINALLY made it to another Nat’s game and the experience did not disappoint! The weather was perfect if not slightly chilly as night fell (a taste of fall weather, yay!). The game itself was amazing as Nat’s pulled out the win in a close game against the Phillies.
Last weekend, a blogger friend and I took a nice day trip to Annapolis! I had never been before, but after several recommendations, I had to add it to my list. I will be sharing more about the trip soon, but I will say that it felt like a hidden gem not far from the city. The trip also made me realize how important it is to surround yourself with positive energy. It also gave me a deeper appreciation for the little blogger community that I am developing. It felt so easy to hang out with a new friend who understood the importance of a thousand pictures and multiple outfit changes.
In an effort to nourish and listen to my body more, I attempted to add more superfoods to my diet. I enjoyed trying (and sometimes failing at) new recipes and combinations of different supplements. I plan to share a little more about the benefits of the superfoods I decided to try and recipes soon!
Leisure mornings this month consisted of activities such as squeezing in a little bit of reading, meditation, and actually taking the time to create my first attempts at smoothie bowls. I found it challenging to set aside the time every week (mostly because I love sleep) but I appreciated the slow starts to my day. This item of my bucket list reiterated the importance of taking out a little time for myself and set the tone for the rest of the day.
This month I completed 6 out of 8 items on my August Bucket List. My candle graveyard has only grown this month and I did not make it to the DC Wharf (hopefully I will soon!). However, I feel like I did succeed in jamming in as much summertime goodness as I could!
Now that August is over, I can allow myself to become overwhelmingly obsessive with pumpkin everything and fall (you’ve been warned)!
Stay tuned for my September Bucket List!
