Happy November, friends! I can’t believe that we are heading into the final sprint of 2018! Even though I am eager for all that this month has to hold, I can’t help but reflect on how my life was last November. It was filled with such highs, but also deep lows (read more about November 2017 here). Hopefully, this rotation around the sun is a little less dramatic.
Here is how I am finding balance this November:
Backyard Leaf Peeping
It is on my life bucket list to go leaf peeping in New England. This year, it isn’t feasible for me to travel up North, so I am going to try my best to take in the sights locally!
Fantastic Beasts!
There are so many good movies coming out this month! One of them is the next installment of the Fantastic Beasts series: The Crimes of Grindelwald (AHHHH!). Now that I no longer have my Movie Pass (meh), I don’t go to the movies nearly as often. However, I HAVE to get to the theater for this one.
Face Friday
I’m bringing back Face Fridays (as my coworker dubbed it). The idea is simple, instead of my usual routine of running out the door, I will spend a little extra time putting on makeup for work on Fridays. This time, I want to step out of my comfort zone with my color choices. I may even share a few on Instagram!
Artechouse
My first visit to the Artechouse was a year ago and I have been wanting to go back ever since! I described my first experience in a previous post (here) but essentially the Artechouse combines art and technology through interactive and breathtaking exhibits. Currently, they are featuring an exhibit called New Nature by Marpi. Can’t wait to check it out!
Find a Way to Giveback
One of the great things about November is that it reminds us all to be thankful for what we have. This year, I want to find a new way to give back to those less fortunate than I am, especially now that we are entering into the colder months of the year. I have a few ideas, but feel free to share yours with me!
Better “Last 90 Days” Tracker
I am so proud of how my first month of participating in the Last 90 Days Challenge went (recapped in this post here). However, there is always room for improvement! This month’s goal is to work towards better completion of the 5 to Thrive (as shown on my tracker sheet). Last month I missed three goals about 8 times each, so essentially, I’m aiming to miss fewer days. If you haven’t joined the challenge yet, you so really consider it. Why wait to live your best life!?
Reduce Fast Food
Idk if it was the thrill of summer or my increasingly busier schedule, but my fast food consumption was out of control. I really want to get back into the swing of cooking often and eating out less. I have a soft goal of about once a week, but honestly, any reduction would be helpful.
New Thanksgiving Dish
We’re heading into potluck season, which to me means that it’s the perfect time to experiment with seasonal dishes! I will be sifting through Pinterest recipes to find something easy, tasty, and harvest-inspired to share.
This month, I am hoping to incorporate balance into my life by being thankful for what I and the world around me have to offer. In addition, I want to extend some of that energy to others that may not be as fortunate. Remember to take some time out this month to practice gratitude!
How are you finding balance in November?
♥ Cierra
Can’t wait to see your make-up!!
Thanks! Hoping to ease a little teeny bit out of my comfort zone.
