It’s 2019 Ambitious Fam! I hope this mean that you feel the spark of excitement that comes with the idea of new beginnings. This year, I want to focus even more on my personal growth journey and wellness. It is my goal to share this experience with you all so that hopefully I can inspire you to be the best version of yourself.
**Note: I create each bucket list before the month starts and print them out for myself. However, by the time the bucket lists are posted on the blog, I may have already started or completed an item.
Here is how I am finding balance this January:
Made for More Documentary
My favorite wellness guru, Rachel Hollis, re-released her documentary into theaters for two nights only! The documentary is based on her RISE women’s conference. The tickets for this year’s conference sold out unbelievably fast, so the documentary is a great way to get a taste of the conference for a fraction of the price! The tickets for the movie went on sale a long while ago, and I was able to enlist my friend and fellow wellness enthusiast, Kristine, to attend with me. I can’t think of a better way to get fired up for the new year!
Goat Yoga!!
Naaaamaste! Have you ever seen pictures of this fun workout craze? Hilariously cute! I am not sure how this is going to go (I haven’t taken a formal yoga class in a long while), but when I got invited to go to a goat yoga class, I knew I couldn’t say no! I can’t stop thinking that this will def be a notable experience that I look forward to crossing off my bucket list.
2019 Budget
A new year means that it’s time to take a hard look at my finances. I have quite a few trips on the agenda this year (including my first international trip!), and I know that the list will only grow with time. I am definitely going to have to buckle down to make sure that I can fully enjoy each experience!
One Second Everyday
This year, I decided that I want to use One Second Everyday (find it in your app store) to capture moments of the year. The app reminds you to take a 1-second video of your day, stores them, and combines them to make a fun video of memories for you to reflect on at the end of the year. I am fortunate enough to capture a lot of my big life’s moments through blogging and social media, but I think that this will be a fun way to capture some of the moments in between.
New Agenda
Another thing that gets me pumped to start a new year? A new agenda! At the end of December (last second much?) I was on the hunt for a new agenda that really fit my organizational needs. I LOVED my planner last year (it even had my blog name on it!) but the designs this year did not spark joy. I opted to create a customized planner so that I can have exactly what I need! Only downside is that it won’t be here as soon as the clock strikes 12 on New Year’s Day (note to self: order earlier). I plan on sharing my experience soon!
Try Jade Rolling
During the holidays, I got the cutest set with a pink silky eye mask and a jade roller. I have never thought to try this beauty trend before, so I figured I would give it and whirl and report back on my thoughts.
Finish One Book
You all know that reading is always on my mind when a semester ends, and now I am finished for good! I was recently inspired to challenge myself to read 25 books this year. Unfortunately, I do not remember which blogger I came across this idea from, but I thought it was really neat to have such a high reading goal and to be able to share reviews about the books. Book club, if one of you is out there reading this, just know that we have to get back on our game.
Try a Thug Kitchen Recipe
I glanced over at my bookshelf the other day and saw my rarely used Thug Kitchen cookbook. I mean, I think that I have made 1 recipe total. When I first got this cookbook, I was so excited because it featured only plant-based recipes. I plan on testing at least one recipe out this month.
2018 was amazing (read my reflections here) and I hope to continue with the momentum. My first bucket list and month of the year is centered around building my foundation of a successful 2019. If you need a little inspiration on how to thrive in 2019, check out this post with my motivational book recommendations!
How are you finding balance in January?
Would love to hear how the goat yoga goes!! I’ve been hearing it’s a bit of a mood booster-how fun!
