I think that the general consensus is that January felt particularly long–and I agree. Not that a long month is bad per
Other than those observations, January was great! This month I announced my new role with the Positivity Charge (TPC) as their Senior Editor (AHH!). I am so excited that I have the opportunity to cultivate positive content in both spaces; for the Chargers and my Ambitious Fam!
I also feel like I have finally settled into a post-grad life rhythm that I enjoy. I have been crafting a new routine for myself so that I can stay on top everything in my busy life.
Here are my other reflections for the month of January:
AHHHH The Made for More Doc was so inspiring! In my January Bucket List post I mentioned that the documentary by Rachel Hollis included footage from the guru’s RISE Conference (which sells out crazy fast). Though it was great seeing the documentary, my favorite part was actually the bonus footage at the end. I left the theater feeling like I was prepped to take over the world in 2019! Shoutout to Kristine for going to see it with me!
I have been loving documenting my year using the One Second Everyday app! I even convinced my bestie to do it too! I successfully uploaded 31 videos for the month of January. Every time I upload a video, I get excited and I want to watch the entire slideshow of my year. I should probably limit views so that it is more fun to watch the final product at the end of the year, but for now, I am content re-experiencing the first month of 2019.
Let’s address some of my fails this month. Though I created a 2019 budget spreadsheet and tracker, my budget completely fell apart this year. I honestly don’t really have an explanation for it. In addition, I did try a Thug Kitchen recipe, as my bucket list stated. However, it was NOT my best work. I think it was more user error…and the fact that I just wasn’t used to the taste of lentil pasta (which the recipe did not call for, but I wanted to try as a substitution). Either way, not my jam.
Though I had some fails, I would count this month as a win! I completed 7 out of 8 items on my January Bucket List (I’m obsessed with my new planner btw!). As the first month of the year, I do I believe that January helped lay the foundation for the rest of my 2019. I spent a lot of this month learning how to incorporate my new TPC role into my life, volunteering in other blog capacities, working full time, all while keeping wellness a priority. I’m excited for what the rest of the year holds!
Stay tuned for my February Bucket List!
