Friday Feels

February 22, 2019 in Lifestyle

Aren’t short weeks always the weirdest weeks? I had Monday off for a holiday and was blessed with a snow day on Wednesday. Yet, this week just felt weird. I spent a lot of the week catching up on the work that I missed when I “took off” for my birthday weekend (which was amazing and totally worth the backlog of tasks to complete). Here’s to hoping that I go into next week with renewed energy!

Here are five things that gave me all of the feels this week:

Being Single and Dating at 27

Madi of Sweet Tea with Madi posted the realist blog post this week about what it is like to be single and dating in the DC Area. Though I am not in the same situation as her, it was definitely relatable and a must read if you feel like your dating timeline is a little off from those of your friends.

Cute J. Crew Factory Finds

J. Crew Factory has some of the cutest new arrivals! Here are a few items that I am keeping my eye on:

  • Scalloped Sweater
  • Shirt Dress
  • Scalloped Sidewalk Skirt

Inspired Women Podcast

This week it was recommended that I listen to the Inspired Women Podcast and I was so (for lack of a better word) inspired! Though I only discovered the podcast a couple of days ago, I already have several episodes under my belt. I enjoy the interview style of Megan Hall, as the episodes always seem like a conversation between friends. What I really like about this podcast is that it features interviews with very successful women but it digs into the real and tough behind the scene issues that are going on. It not just a venting session. Though the podcast discusses some tough issues, the primary focus is on showcasing that these women made it through the hard times and went on to live (and thrive) in their life. Truly inspirational. Check out the latest episode with features Dr. Rubina, co-founder of the Positivity Charge!

Girl, Stop Apologizing: New Release Date!

So ya’ll know that one of my favorite books of 2018 was Girl, Wash Your Face (if not, then read this post here!). Rachel Hollis is following up that bestseller with her new book Girl, Stop Apologizing! The book was due to be released on March 12th (already pre-ordered and impatiently waiting). However, due to a mishap with shipping and a retailer, many people were able to purchase the book early! Though they have since corrected this mistake, the incident did prompt Rachel to release the books a whole week early (March 5th)! Can’t wait to have a little more Hollis magic in my life a week earlier than expected!!

Celeb News

There was sooo much going on in celeb news that I can’t possibly address them all. However, I wanted to do some quick mentions:

  • Jonas Brothers Reunion? Ummmm don’t know if this is true, but YES PLEASE.
  • Khloe-Tristan-Jordyn-Kylie: I would be lying if I didn’t acknowledge that I was keeping up with that drama.
  • Zendaya: New (and youngest) face of Lancome AND slayed her Tommy Hilfigure collection looks. I’m here for it.

Have a great weekend!

Special thanks to Rachel of rgordphoto for capturing the featured image.
