Happy Friday, Ambitious Fam! Anyone else feel completely off because of the short work week? It probably doesn’t help that I was off a couple of days last week as well. Since apparently today is Friday…
Here are five things that gave me all the feels this week (and maybe last week too):
Infinitely Loft
You guys, I completely freaked out when Loft announced their new Infinitely Loft program! Similar to Rent the Runway, Infinitely Loft is a membership in which you can rent a certain amount of pieces, wear them, and return them to be cleaned and swapped for new pieces! Such a great environmental concept because it helps reduce some of the “fast-fashion” waste that is becoming a problem in our country. I would love to try it out!
Amazon Jumpsuit
Notttt the best segway here, but I recently stumbled across this jumpsuit from Amazon and I had to share. Jumpsuits are never my friend (I think it has something to do with my body proportions), but this one fit so well! Plus it’s super comfortable–basically feels like your wearing sweatpants and a tee. The jumpsuit is also stretchy and pairs perfectly with a denim (or white denim if you’re like me!) jacket. I got it in navy, but there are a few color options for you to choose from. Fun fact, after I shared a try-on of the jumpsuit on Instagram, I discovered that my bestie had the same jumpsuit in THE SAME EXACT COLOR! Go figure!
America’s Got Talent Contestant
Every once in a while, I get sucked into a network television program while I’m waiting for my smart tv to load (because…Netflix and Hulu over scheduled programming). However, this time I was captivated by an AGT performance. Kodi Lee, a young man who is blind and autistic, walked out on stage with the assistance of his mother. He proceeded to give a performance that was more than worthy of the golden buzzer. I was BLOWN away. Watch the full, mind-blowing performance here!
Born A Crime
Lately, I have been spending part of my day listening to Born A Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah. SO GOOD. I plan on sharing a complete review when I finish the book, but it has def been giving me all the feels this week. Not only is it insightful and informative (accounts from life post-apartheid) but it is also hilarious! I mean “had to stop listening because it was making me laugh too hard at work” hilarious. I definitely recommend the book so far!
My Bestie’s New House
Proud bestie moment! My bestie (pictured) and her family just moved into their dream home and I am so excited and proud and all the things! I got to spend Memorial Day weekend with them and it was magical. I know there were a few ups and downs during their search, so I’m just so happy that this worked out for them. Goals!
That AGT episode brought me to tears-his music is incredible! Hope you’ve had the best weekend!
Caitlin
It was just so good! Hope that you are having the summer of your dreams!
