Happy Wednesday, Ambitious Fam! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that there is a part of my Sunday routine that I hold near and dear to my heart. After journaling, it has been one of the most consistent things that I have kept up with. If you are guessing my Sunday Brunch Bowl (or you guessed as much from the title of this post haha), then you would be correct!
I’m not even sure when or how this habit started. Every week I would make sure that I would have the ingredients to make the bowl by Sunday. I loved the idea of packing a bunch of color and veggies into a breakfast dish and began to record my masterpieces to share with the world. I also enjoyed how customizable the brunch bowl is. While I tend to keep a consistent base of produce, sometimes I throw in a “guest star” or two to switch up the flavor. I even look forward to selecting the song for when I feature the bowl on Instagram (its the little things haha).

Over time, I streamlined my Sunday Brunch Bowl process, which goes beyond the dish itself. My brunch bowl is usually enjoyed with a cup of coffee and my diffuser filling the room with some of my favorite cozy essential oil blends. It’s important that everything is set and ready to go in a timely manner, using as few dishes as possible. In about 25-30 minutes I am sitting and enjoying my ideal weekend morning. I cook my bowl for 1 person, however, the recipe is easily multiplied to create as many servings as you need.
Here is how I make my basic Sunday brunch bowl:

Half the fun is adding a new twist to the dish! Don’t be afraid to add different flavors (like these golden milk sweet potatoes from Sarah of the Cutting Veg) or new veggies to the mix.
