Guess what!? It’s gonna be May! 😀
Hello Ambitious Fam! While April doesn’t officially end until tomorrow, it felt like a good time to wrap up the month. I know that I can’t be the only one that feels like March dragged on while April flew by. I have to admit that as the month progressed I have felt a little less weird…like I have finally gotten acclimated to social distancing life. There are still so many small things that I can’t wait to do once this season of life is over. For example, being able to go to the grocery store without the huge production and face mask. However, for now, I am making the most out of my time indoors and celebrating the little bright sides of each day.
Here are my other reflections for the month of April:
One
I still can’t believe that I completed a 5k this month! While I touched on that subject a little bit in my Bucket List post, I also used it to cross another item off my bucket list–I uploaded a Youtube video! Check out the vlog of my Virtual Cherry Blossom 5k experience below.

According to Goodreads, I am still one book behind schedule in my 2020 Reading Challenge. However, I did finish one book this month and I am making progress on another! I will be doing another mid-year book review post this year, but until then feel free to be my friend on the Goodreads app! I regularly update which books I am currently reading and my rating as I complete the books on my list.

Have you tried taking a virtual tour yet? There are so many options available to choose from and I think that its a great way to promote art and history while we are safe at home. There are a few places that I didn’t want to visit virtually because I wanted the full thrill of seeing it in person (like inside the MET or the views from the Eiffel Tower). I ended up virtually visiting a couple of exhibits at the Musée du Lourve and it was an interesting experience! It took me a second to get the virtual aspects of the tour to work the way I wanted it too. It almost felt like when I first switched to my Macbook after years of windows in that I couldn’t move in the direction that I wanted to go. In addition, I am not versed in French, so sometimes my only option was to admire the art (I’m someone that likes to read all of the information haha). However, there were times when there was English information available! Not that I ever doubted this, but the Lourve has some BEAUTIFUL pieces of art. There were options to “zoom in” to a better view of the art which was pretty nice. The museum also has an app that you can download to get a virtual tour experience of the Mona Lisa (saving that painting!). The virtual tour solidified that I really need to visit in person one day!
I also checked in on the live otter cam at the Georgia Aquarium. Jeanine was right; watching the otters swim around was actually pretty peaceful!
This month I completed 5 out of 6 of the items on my April Bucket List. I still don’t feel like I’ve gotten a good handle on my bedtime routine (*facepalm). There are definitely things that I have incorporated and that I do regularly, but it is still not where I want it to be.
