Hey Ambitious Fam! Here with a seriously overdue August Bucket List post. I have already started working on the bucket list for this month (though the list is just now getting posted due to the hiatus mentioned my July Wrap Up post).
Here is how I am growing into a better version of myself this August:
Watch the Sunrise
Back when I was still waking up at 5 am (aka pre-pandemic) it used to make me smile to catch glimpses of the sunrises from my window. This month, I want to take some quiet time to watch the sunrise again.
Midweek Matcha
Yall know that I love my morning cup of coffee and I doubt that is changing anytime soon. However, this month I want to incorporate matcha back into my routine. My love for matcha tends to come in waves (some months I’m really into them, some months I forget it exists), but I enjoy the taste of a good matcha latte. In addition, I hope to reap some of the benefits associated with the powdered green tea. Look out for the switch up in my morning mugshots in my Instagram stories!
Try a New Sustainable Cleanser
I was running out of my current facial cleanser and I was looking for a more sustainable option. Luckily, one of my favorite sustainability Youtubers, Kristen of Strolling Through Life, recently mentioned that she has loved using Youth to the People. The brand sells its clean formulas (vegan, biodegradable, and cruelty-free) in glass bottles and jars that can easily be reused! My skin is pretty sensitive, so I decided to try their formula out by purchasing their limited edition With Pride Minis Kit which comes with a cleanser, night mask, and energy facial samples. In addition, 100% of the proceeds from the Pride Kit will be donated to GLSEN, an organization known for its work in helping LGBTQ+ students. Win-win!
Be a Biscuit
Be…a…biscuit? Yep! You read that right. More details later this month!
Try a New Peach Recipe
While I wasn’t able to grab peaches from the Old Town Farmer’s Market this year (as pictured on the bucket list image) but I still plan on picking up some locally grown peaches to enjoy at home in a new recipe. I’ll let yall know how it turns out!
This month, I am taking comfort in some old pastimes.
