2020 December Bucket List

December 22, 2020 in Bucket Lists

Hey, Ambitious Fam! December got off to an…interesting start. However, I still wanted to post my December Bucket List with the items that I planned to do this month. Stay tuned for my wrap up post to see how much of it I was actually able to get done!

Here is how I planned on growing into a better version of myself this December:

Vlogmas

Daily vlogs are back! I had so much fun doing vlogs for Vlogtober (an October Bucket List item) that I decided to bring it back for Vlogmas. Every day until Christmas I will be sharing 30-second vlogs about my daily happenings plus holiday content. Check out the ones that I have posted so far on Instagram! You can also view last year’s YouTube vlogmas here!

Christmas Movie Marathon

One of my favorite things about the Holiday season is getting to watch all of the cheesy Christmas movies. Last year was a great year for Netflix Christmas movies and I plan on revisiting a bunch of those as well as check out some of the new ones. In addition, I plan to take advantage of other streaming platforms this year (there’s no shortage of them haha) to add some other Christmas movies to my list. To complete that perfect winter day indoors vibe, there will be plenty of holiday snacks, drinks, and take out to consume while watching!

Cozy Reading Day

In addition to a movie marathon, I want to get my cheesy holiday romance fix through reading! I have quite a few Christmas romance books on my TBR list that I can’t wait to get to–after I read the latest Simple Wild book of course! Picture this cozy reading day scene: being snuggled under a blanket by the Christmas tree while the “fireplace” is going, reading the hours away. The thought instantly relaxes me. I can’t wait.

Drive-Thru Lights

Christmas lights spark so much joy. It’s definitely one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. Last year I got to frolic around Enchant Christmas DC, which was probably one of the most magical light displays that I have experienced in a really long time (see a glimpse here or check out this Enchant Vlog!). I’m also feeling pretty nostalgic about the trips to the National Zoo that I used to take with my siblings to see Zoo Lights. I even miss catching some of the decorations that I passed by after work or during my early morning gym trips (lol 2020 will do this to you). All that being said, this month I hope to enjoy some light displays by either visiting a drive-thru light attraction or riding around town!

Learn More About SEO

Though I have been blogging for a few years, I have never put energy into SEO (search engine optimization). Basically, using SEO allows for content (such as blog posts or products) to be found more easily by those looking for resources on the internet (i.e. googling a topic). I made it a goal this year to learn more about SEO to help drive traffic and continue to grow my Ambitious Fam. Well…it’s the end of the year, so it’s high on my list of things to do before the new year!

All of the Eggnog!

While some people flock towards peppermint flavored items during the Holiday season, I prefer to fill my December days with all of the eggnog! I love drinking it by the glass at night, but I also plan to incorporate eggnog into some other treats this season. My favorite produce and garden center, Nalls Produce, sells eggnog from a local farm in glass bottles. I’m opting to go this route this year because not only does it support local, but they have a program that allows you to return the glass bottles after use to be thoroughly cleaned and reused (also eligible with their milk and some juices!) to reduce waste. Also, if you’ve never had eggnog, here is your sign to try some 😛

This month, I am finding small ways to celebrate the holiday season and working on completing some 2020 goals.

How are you growing this December?
