Hey, Ambitious Fam! It’s a new month and things are certainly looking promising already! More and more of my friends are getting vaccinated, some are celebrating new life, and there is a general buzz that accompanies warmer weather. Excited to see what adventures and growth opportunities this month has in store!
Here is how I am growing this May:
Spread Lupus Awareness
May is Lupus Awareness Month, and this year I wanted to do a few things to commemorate the month and “make Lupus visible.” I believe in the power of storytelling, so I enlisted the help of a couple of Lupus warriors to share a little bit of their journey with you all. Stay tuned!
First Pop-Up Shop!
Ambitiousy You is hitting the road! I am so excited to attend and feature Ambitiously You products at my first pop-up shop! I’ll be taking my mugs (and premiering some new products) down to Richmond, VA to participate in the BLK Women Exchange Spring Pop Up Shop on Sunday, May 22nd from 11 AM-3 PM. Not only do I think it would be a fun way to expand the Ambitiously You brand, but I also hope to make connections and build a community with other small business owners as well. If you are in the area, I would love it if you stopped by!
Recently my youngest sister expressed interest in having a picnic and I thought that it was a fantastic idea! Hoping to have some quality outdoor time with the girls this month.
Fried Chicken Fridays
I had to shift Fried Chicken Fridays to May, so this is a repeat bucket list item. In case you missed it, here is the description: On Instagram, I often share my love for supporting local restaurants in the form of a first impressions video. I have become quite the fried chicken sandwich connoisseur, and I joked that it was time to get more organized with my local fried chicken sandwich reviews with a series on my platform. Well, that joke turned into the creation of a rating scale with my friend Sara and a catchy name to go with it. The Fried Chicken Fridays series is a go (for real this time)!
In April, my goal was to unplug with a puzzle and I was able to get one started. This month, I want to continue puzzling in my spare time and I hope to finish it by the end of the month!
Read One Book
I have kind of slacked off when it comes to reading which is totally fine. My mind has been a bit too active to really slow down and focus on a book. However, I miss getting lost in the stories and taking that time for myself. I also really want to set up the new digital reading journal that I got from Flourish Planner! I’m committing to set aside time to complete at least one book this month.
