Hey, Ambitious Fam! September was a big month. It was filled with so much change, emotion, grief, love, and mile-long to-do lists. I’m going to spoil this pretty early and say that I did not complete a lot of my September Bucket List. However, when I looked back at my One Second Everyday video for the month (click here to view), I smiled at all the things that I was able to fit in. Here are my 4Ls:
In September I…
liked picking out wedding dresses and being part of such a special moment.
learned how to do a new meeting task at work!
lacked stability–I often felt off-centered and pulled in a thousand different directions this month.
longed for the moving process to end.
Here are my other reflections for the month of September:
One
Donut Days was a delicious as I thought it would be! It was fun to look forward to the treat every Wednesday before my Coffee Chat lives on the Ambitiously You Instagram page. Every week I tried the different versions of the donuts and gave my first impressions in real-time. My favorite had to be either the Pumpkin Spice Original Glaze or the filled Apple Cider Glaze. I hope Krispy Kreme considers bringing them back next year!
Two
This month I was invited to participate in the Refined Society Book Club as a panelist and it was such a great experience! I was able to capture a small amount of it in this vlog on YouTube, but essentially we chatted about our creative journeys and how our creativity transcends across different areas of our lives. I love getting to chat about this aspect of my life and getting to hear other people’s perspectives as well! Thankful for the opportunity for sure!
Three
While not on the bucket list this month, moving out of my first adult apartment definitely deserved an honorable mention! A lot of time was spent decluttering, cleaning, and hauling items out of the place that I called home. It was super exhausting, but it’s already been worth it. So grateful for my family and friends that helped me haul my stuff over to the new place–I appreciate it more than you could know. Looking forward to the memories that I make here!
This month I completed 3 out of 6 items on my September Bucket List. The move took up a lot more time and energy than I thought it would. Can’t wait to return to a routine and all of the fall fun to come next month!
I love the idea of the four “Ls” – what a great practice in reflection!
Thank you!! I’ve loved integrating it into my practice in 2021!
