For the last month of summer, I wanted to get a little more out of my comfort zone. If you haven’t read my post about how I formulate my bucket lists, you can find it here. Below are some details about why each item got added to my 2017 August Bucket List.
Sky Diving
Sky diving was a semi spontaneous addition to the list. I became intrigued by the idea a year ago when a few friends showed me videos of them skydiving in various locations. When my sister was trying to figure out a fun activity to do for her birthday, I had just the right suggestion.
Visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture
Ever since the opening of this museum I’ve been dying to get in and explore. However, I did want to wait until the initial excitement died down in hopes that it might be less crowded and easier to get tickets to.
Girls’ Weekend
One of my friends recently received some disappointing news and we knew just how to cheer her up—a surprise reunion!
Spin Class 2x a week
Fitness goal of the month! Spin class has been an enjoyable, low impact way for me to get a good work out. Previously, I made it a goal to attend at least one class a week. Let’s see if I can to it up a notch.
Wear Make-Up at least once a week
Recently I have become more intrigued with the idea of makeup. I’m hoping this challenge will increase my nonexistent application skills!
No withdrawals from personal savings account
Honesty time: I have a pretty bad habit of occasionally using my savings account like another checking account. This month I want to try to break that cycle.
No Beef
I have been considering little food changes that benefit both my health and the environment. I decided to add this item to the list purely to challenge myself.
Try a new plant protein recipe
I love including a new recipe to my repertoire!
Stay tuned to see if I complete everything on my list! Let me know in the comments below if you have tried anything on my September Bucket List
