Hey, Ambitious Fam! Oof, to say that it’s been a minute would be an understatement. These last few weeks have been pretty hectic, but I’m happy to report that I got some much-needed time off this weekend to reset and recharge. In January’s Wrap up post, I started using the 4Ls as a reflection tool and I think that it’s a useful technique. You can also check out this video on Instagram for a glimpse of my One Second Every Day of February!
In February I…
learned how to navigate starting a new product-based business. Still learning and growing!
lacked home cooked meals–spent a lottttt on delivery/fast food in February.
longed for “normal” birthday celebrations with my friends and family. So thankful for everyone that made it feel special <3
Here are my other reflections for the month of February:
The days leading up and the morning push to get everything up for the launch of Ambitiously You were hectic yet so worth it. Launch day went beyond my wildest dreams. I shared more about why starting Ambitiously You was so important to me in this post, but I wish that I could eloquently describe the feeling of experiencing the dream come to life. The amount of love and support that I received led to many tears and even more smiles. Every share, purchase, and encouragement emphasized how lucky I am to have this community. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Stay tuned for more to come! If you want to stay up to date with Ambitiously You, be sure to follow the Instagram account: @shopambitiouslyyou.
As mentioned in my 4 Ls of the month, there was a bit of me that longed for a normal birthday celebration with my friends and family. While there were def some mixed feels surrounding the date, I am so thankful for the people that went out of the way to make the weekend feel special. I ate well, I had sweet treats, and enjoyed watching To All the Boys: Always and Forever as well as some other movies during the three-day weekend. In addition, I got a tattoo (the little crescent moon shown in the cover image) to celebrate the launch of Ambitiously You and the start of a new trip around the sun! Though I didn’t do a typical stand-alone birthday blog post, I took time to reflect on a year that challenged me both mentally and emotionally. This year was the catalyst for some big life moments, and for that I am grateful.
In the name of self-love and self-care, I grabbed some $3.99 eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s to hang in my shower. I heard that in order to release the oils and reap the benefits of the eucalyptus, you are supposed to roll an object over the plant while it is still in its packaging. After I rolled it a couple of times, I was able to secure the greenery behind my shower head using a rubber band. While it was aesthetically pleasing (def felt a little boujee in the best way), I’m not sure that I get what the hype is about. However, I am willing to try again! Maybe I just didn’t release the oils well enough? If you have any tips, please leave them in the comments!
This month I completed 4 out of 6 of the items on my February Bucket List. While I did enjoy getting in some mindful lettering practice, I definitely did not keep up with it daily. In addition, I started the less is more challenge but I did not complete it. Though I didn’t complete my bucket list items, February was generally a pretty great month!
